Why QUT?

Returning to previous faculty

After a period of absence or following exclusion, former QUT students can request to be re-admitted to the faculty they were previously enrolled in by submitting an R/I Form directly to QUT. Students returning from an approved leave of absence do not apply for re-admission. See re-enrolling after absence for more information.

Returning to different faculty

Undergraduate students wishing to return to another undergraduate course in another faculty must apply via QTAC. Read the undergraduate admissions information for more details.

Postgraduate students wishing to return to another faculty must apply by submitting a new PG Form directly to QUT.

Research students

Research students wishing to re-admit should contact QUT's Research Students Centre.

International students

International students wishing to return should apply by submitting a new F Form.

Readmission after exclusion

Students who have been excluded from a course will not be re-admitted until at least 12 months have passed since their exclusion and are required to apply for readmission at least two months prior to the teaching period in which re-admission is sought.

The relevant QUT faculty assesses applications for re-admission and it is up to the student to demonstrate re-admission is warranted on the basis of changed academic/vocational performance or increased maturity or motivation. A statement addressing these issues should accompany the application.

See the R /I Form guide for further information.
