While studying at QUT you are expected to maintain a satisfactory level of academic performance. At the end of each academic semester your performance is reviewed.

Students with unsatisfactory academic performance may be placed on probationary enrolment. If performance continues at an unsatisfactory level you will be asked to 'show cause' providing reasons why you should not be excluded.

Early intervention - help is available for students who may be at risk of poor academic performance

Probation - you may be placed on probation due to an unsatisfactory level of academic performance

Show cause (exclusion) - circumstances where students will be asked to show cause why they should be allowed to continue studying in their course

Designated units - these are critical to progress in your course

Maximum time for completion - students who have exceeded the time limits will be eligible for exclusion
