Some courses may require students to purchase uniforms, safety equipment or other items, and/or participate in course related activities. These purchases are compulsory and their cost is not included in listed tuition, Commonwealth student contribution, Guild or any other fee.

Interfaculty or double degrees: You need to look at the corresponding single degrees for additional costs.

International students: Work permits are now AUD$60 (subject to change). These permits apply to all courses where you are required to do work experience. You also use this permit if you wish to work while studying in Australia (conditions apply). You should visit the DIAC web site and visit a Student Centre on any campus for more details.

Arts and Social Science

Students in Arts and Social Science courses who undertake internships or field trip studies,  may incur additional costs (for example travel and accommodation).

All courses that have dealings with construction sites must complete the General Safety Induction Course (Construction Industry) in order to obtain a construction 'Blue Card'. These courses include Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Interior Design, Landscape Architecture, Property Economics, Quantity Surveying, Surveying/Spatial Science, and Urban and Regional Planning.

  • Students in Education courses who are required to undertake activities such as practical investigations, field-based observations, embedded field experiences and field experience placements off-campus may incur additional costs (for example travel and accommodation). Students undertaking field studies often have to reduce working commitments during this period in oder to maintain the required full-time attendance.
