How to cancel your enrolmentDomestic students A request to cancel your enrolment can be made online via the Online Enrolment portlet accessed from the Student Services tab in QUT Virtual. International students You must submit an Application for Leave of Absence or Course Cancellation and/or Withdrawal Without Penalty (International) (LI Form) to cancel your enrolment. What are the implications?If your cancellation request is received prior to the final dates for changes to enrolment without academic penalty, your current teaching period units will be awarded a 'Withdrawn' status. If your cancellation request is received after the last date to withdraw without penalty, you will be awarded a result of 'Withdrawn - Failure' (K grade) for those units in which you were enrolled for the current teaching period. If you consider that special circumstances apply, you can apply for withdrawal of units without academic penalty. To apply you may either apply in writing or lodge an Application to Re-credit SLE, Remit or Refund HELP Debt and Tuition Fees (Domestic Students Only) in Special Circumstances (RC Form). Documentary evidence, such as originals or certified copies of medical certificates or statements from employers, must be submitted in support of your application. International students who are no longer enrolled in a course at an Australian institution are not permitted to remain in Australia on their student visas. ConfirmationA statement will be forwarded to you confirming your cancellation. If you do not receive a statement within four weeks of submitting your cancellation request, please contact Student Business Services immediately on 07 3138 2000. Policy |
