What is an academic record?Throughout your study at QUT you will establish an academic record. An official academic record is a complete listing of courses and units you have studied at QUT. An original academic record is a secure document and carries the following endorsement:
What can it be used for?A transcript of an academic record can be used to confirm qualifications. Who issues academic records at QUT?Student Business Services manages and issues the University's student academic records. Student Business Services also coordinates the certification of eligibility to graduate by faculty staff and the awarding of Honours and Distinctions, and maintains prize winners on the student system. Student Support Services, via the Ceremonies office, issues replacement award parchments. What appears on my record when I have studied more than one QUT course? When applying for a record you can choose to have it show all the courses you have studied or just a single course. Records for single courses bear an endorsement indicating they are not a full academic record. When will I receive my complimentary academic record? You will receive one complimentary academic record within six weeks of completing University award course requirements. The record will be sent via Australia Post to the mailing address current at the time of your course completion. If the complimentary academic record is not delivered, through no fault of your own, you have three months from the date of your award course completion to request another complimentary academic record (email askqut@qut.edu.au). If you request an academic record after this date you will need to apply for an academic record and pay the standard cost. Complimentary academic records are not available for non-award courses (ie courses of study which do not lead to a University award). How do I apply for an academic record?
